From Shopping Centre to town centre, Nicholson Quarter will create a fantastic new urban quarter for Maidenhead, delivering new homes, workspace, shops and restaurants. Sir Nicholas Winton Square, named by residents in honour of Sir Nicholas, is the focal point for a central public space.

In November 2025, resolution to grant planning consent was supported for the comprehensive regeneration of the site totalling c.1.125m sqft.

The project will now be of the UK’s first shopping centre to town centre conversions that could “become a blueprint for the regeneration of town centres” – The Times 11.6.20
